Jewellery Workshops
Join Scarlett Erskine Jewellery in her popular jewellery workshops in the Wasps Studios, Dundee. Learn to make a piece of jewellery in a few hours under the tuition of skilled local jewellers. Workshops are held throughout the year below are dates, times and available classes. To book a class click here. You can also book your own private classes.
Workshops are held in Scarlett’s Studio in The Wasps Studios in Meadow Mill, Dundee DD1 5BY. Parking is available outside subject to availability and parking passes are provided.
Make a Ring Workshop
Next Workshops - 9th May Saturday 11am, 28th June Sunday 11am, 29th August 11am Saturday
Join our most popular workshop. In this 2-2.5 hour workshop you will learn how to saw, solder and texture metal making your very own ring to take home and treasure forever. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners.
You can then choose the style of ring you make - a simple ring or a chunky wide band.

Bangle Workshop

In this workshop you will learn how to saw, solder, texture and form metal making your own silver bangle. This workshops lasts around 2.5hours and is suitable for complete beginners.

Wax Carve a Ring
Next Workshop Date - 26th April 11am Sunday
In this new class taught by Jeweller Kate Pickering learn how to carve your very own ring in wax. After the workshop this ring will then be cast into Silver and hand finished by us ready for collection, we aim to have the rings ready in around 3 weeks.
Come along to Scarlett Erskine's Jewellery workshop where Kate will teach you how carve your own ring out of wax. Let your creative juices flow and design a shaped, edgy or flowing ring. This workshop is suitable for beginners and perfect if you have already done one of our jewellery classes.

Loop NecklaceWorkshop
Next Workshop Date - Sunday 24th May 11am
In this workshop you can make your very own Silver Sista Necklace. You will learn how to saw, solder, texture and form metal making your very own Silver necklace. This workshops lasts around 3 hours. If you have a different necklace design you would like to make just get in touch with Scarlett to discuss your design prior to the workshop. You can choose to make a bracelet instead of a necklace. Kate will host this workshop
This workshop is suitable for beginners but if you would like to build your skills Scarlett recommends attending the silver ring workshop as your first class.

Stacking Rings Workshop

In this Workshop you will learn how to saw, solder, shape and texture silver, brass and copper making your own Spinner Ring to take home. This class is perfect if you would like to challenge your jewellery skills making a statement ring.

Beginners Jewellery
Ultimate Jewellery Weekend Course - 2nd & 3rd May 10.30-4.30pm £295
Join Scarlett and Kate for a weekend of Jewellery making. Over the course of two days you will learn wax carving, gemstone setting, roll printing and texturing to make your own rings, earrings or pendants.
Day one
Spend the day with Kate where you will spend the morning carving you very own design in wax, after the workshop we will send this ring for casting in silver. In the afternoon you will explore the rolling mill with roll printing textures on to metal making your own pendant.
Day two
Scarlett will show you a range of techniques to texture metal making your own earrings to take home. In the afternoon you will make your very own cabochon gemstone set ring in silver. You can choose from a range of gemstones including - garnet, mint quartz, amethsyt and agate.

Join Kate in the workshop for an 8 week course where you will learn a range of the jewellery techniques to start making your own jewellery.
In the first 4 weeks you will cover a range of jewellery techniques - making a silver ring, texturing and roll printing copper, saw piercing, granulation and reticulation, doming and how to add findings to your jewellery. Then you will have the last 3 sessions to work on your own projects.
Silver for the ring and copper is included in this course. Materials for your own project are not included.
This class is suitable for beginners but we ask for everyone to have good eyesight and hand dexterity.

In this new class learn how to set a cabochon stone silver ring!
Come along to Scarlett Erskine's Jewellery workshop where Kate or Scarlett will teach you how make a silver ring and set a cabochon stone. Learning the techniques of sawing, soldering, texturing metal and setting a stone. This workshop lasts around 4hours. This workshop is suitable for beginners and perfect if you have already done one of our jewellery classes.
We will have a selection of gemstones for you to choose from.

Make Your Own Silver Earrings
Next Workshops -
In the Earrings workshop we will guide you through various techniques - saw piercing, texturing and forming silver to make and design your own Silver earrings either a pair of stud earrings or a pair of drop earrings.
The workshops lasts 3 hours and is suitable for beginners, Scarlett recommends her silver ring workshop as your first class if you would like to progress your skills in each workshop.
Cost: £95
Bespoke Workshop
In this one to one workshop you can make a piece of jewellery you have designed or always dreamed of. This could be an engagement ring or a special treat to yourself or a loved one. If you would like help designing the piece Scarlett can help with the design process prior to the workshop. Jewellery can be made in silver, gold or platinum or by remodeling your own metal. Scarlett can source coloured gemstones and diamonds. This workshop is held one to one in her workshop in Wasps Studios Dundee, prices start at £300 (the final cost depends on materials).
